Hawkes Bay Turning Collaboration 2021
This year 27 of us contributed to the production of 105 items – once again a quite different look to previous years – not much driftwood, some wet, fresh-cut, cherry for a bit of interest and a selection of bendable woods.
Vern Jensen, a wheel maker from Feilding, introduced us to the craft of steam bending.
Roger and his committee set us three projects: From Nature; Include a Steam Bent Bit; and A Piece for the Shadow Board.
Thanks to Roger and Hawkes Bay Club members for their setup work and cleaning up after us. After all that they have invited us to be there again next year.
