Hawkes Bay Turning Collaboration 2020
This year we shared the school with Morris Dancers from all over New Zealand. They had probably not heard of woodturning clubs either but they did invite us to their last evening with song and dance – enjoyed by all. They also patronised our sale gallery to our mutual benefit.
This year 26 of us contributed to the production of 103 items – once again a quite different look to previous years – not much driftwood and some big pieces from the Peter Hewitt collection.
Roger and his committee set us three projects: From Mountains to Sea; a Wedding Gift; and Not more than 20% Metal.
Thanks to Roger and Hawkes Bay Club members for their setup work and cleaning up after us. After all that they have invited us to be there again next year.
