Hawkes Bay Turning Collaboration 2019
Warm again. Lots of old hands and a few new faces getting pleasure from making wood round or painting pictures on it. Well, I think 24 was the count. Jim and Claire Lowe were there for a while. I saw Dan from Woodcut Tools making a few shavings. That Hoot from Taupo came for a day or two – nice to know Taupo Jamboree is all on again. A few of the locals popped in but there may have been fewer casual visitors as there was no sale gallery.
Thanks to Roger and Hawkes Bay Club members for their setup work and cleaning up after us.
They set us three projects: Make something from a piece of Peter Hewitt’s Wood. Create something from this box of bits and use this totally new medium of air-dry clay and washi paper. After that we made whatever we liked, as long as it was collaborative.
